About Blue Dispatch
Blue Dispatch is a powerful app that aims to revolutionize off-duty work for police officers and law enforcement agencies by equipping them with curated job listings, customizable scheduling, and precise time tracking.

I worked on this project in partnership with Eightfold Technology. Their expert team executed on the design and development of the app and website, while I was responsible for creating the visual identity and other branded materials.

The Objective
With a vision of benefitting law enforcement agencies nationwide, Blue Dispatch was in need of a visual identity that would accomplish three core objectives:
1. Stand out in the industry
2. Appeal to the target audience
3. Communicate brand values
Through discussions with the team at Blue Dispatch, I developed a comprehensive understanding of their industry, their target audience, and the primary traits their visual identity should communicate: fierce, impactful, hard-working, passionate, and reliable.
Logo Design
In order for the logo to be a success, it had to accomplish three main goals:
1. Capture the bold and brazen personality of Blue Dispatch to help connect with their target audience.
2. Be simple, yet versatile in order to work in numerous use cases; from the app icon to large-format prints.
3. Have a distinct and memorable look in order to stand out among competitors.
With these objectives in mind, I explored various logo concepts with sharp edges, aggressive angles, and unique monogram lockups. The final logo features an unorthodox energy bolt and slanted letterforms to convey a disruptive and zealous personality while the bulky shapes and rich blue instill a sense of durability and reliability.
Visual Identity
A strong logo is just one piece of a fully-functioning visual identity for a brand. Having specified brand colors, appropriate typography, versatile graphic elements, curated iconography, and a distinct photography style are also important. Each of these components were developed for Blue Dispatch - everything working together to form a cohesive and recognizable look for the brand.
